Clean air, water rules spark different responses
Fri Nov 25, 2011
No in fact they are too greedy and too stupid to find a better way to do things. What's funny is they feel if they have to give up coal for natural gas they will drive the price of gas up.
Insight: Super committee had glimpse of elusive compromise
Tue Nov 22, 2011
Let me give an example to those out there that think we should keep our hands off the rich even though they may be taking this country down the path of destruction. Let's say I make $100K a year and go into a store to buy a $3.00 loaf of bread.
Insight: Super committee had glimpse of elusive compromise

Can someone explain to me why did we lower taxes to begin with? What was the rational and particularly after 911 when we needed the revenue to fight the wars that were not paid for.
NYT: Lawmakers trade blame as deficit talks crumble
Sun Nov 20, 2011
Therein lies the problem. As a previous blogger stated we have both a spending problem and a revenue problem. The real problem is the Republicans pledge to Grover babe. What happens is if you take one part of the equation off the table the other part is not enough.
Backed by new ally, Romney keeps pressure on Obama
Sun Nov 20, 2011

Sat Nov 19, 2011

Deficit deal failure would pose crummy choice

The fair approach is to produce $1 in entitlement cuts in reform to $1 gain in revenue through reforms. Then you have a $2 dollar difference which brings things into balance way before this nonsense we're going through right now.
Deficit deal failure would pose crummy choice

Also look at the job growth during Clinton's terms. How does any conservative say that we were not better off during those times and it sure wasn't a Republican President in office.
Millionaires take case to Congress: Tax us more
Wed Nov 16, 2011
Because a handful of $$$ decide they want to pay more in taxes does not make the point that if they want to pay more they can. Because a handful of $$$ are not as greedy as the rest doesn't mean that they should go it alone which is what some are suggesting.
What does rising inequality suggest about the American dream?
Wed Nov 16, 2011
If the dream is still there, why have home values dropped 50% or more in some areas? When has that ever happened in our lifetime or anytime in history? Also the cost of a college education is outrageous.
